BARTOW - Martha Clary Wright, 78, passed away Tuesday night, Nov. 4, 2008 at LRMC after losing her battle with cancer.
Martha was born on June 17th, 1930 in Odum, GA., to Allen Clary and Martha Maye Kicklighter Clary. She retired from the Polk County School System after 32 years of dedicated service teaching in the Bartow area.
She was a graduate of Florida Southern and she was a member of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, Bartow, FL. & Daughters of the King.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harold James "Jim" Wright and her only son, James Allen Wright. She is survived by her grandson Sean Allen Wright and daughter-in-law Catherine J. Wright, nieces, nephews and loving friends.
Visitation will be held at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow, FL. on Sat., Nov. 8th from 3 to 5 p.m. Church services will be held at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church on Sunday, Nov. 9th at 2 p.m. Burial to follow at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow. The Rev. Wallace Reynolds officiating. In lieu of flowers, in her honor, memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Episcopal Church Memorial Fund or the American Cancer Society.
