Martha Mae Stortenbecker

Martha Mae Stortenbecker, age 96, passed on to be with the LORD on Wednesday, May 29, 2019. Born January 12, 1923 in Stowe, PA, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Katie (Garber) Fritz. Mrs. Stortenbecker worked as a Seamstress for many years for Blackburn's Interiors in Winter Haven. Mae was a long time resident of Winter Haven since moving there with her family in 1956. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin Stortenbecker. Mae is survived by her children: Trucy Rogers (Steve) of Bartow, Don "Skeeter" Shoots (Frances) of Winter Haven, and Delbert "Butch" Shoots (Dale) of Tucson, AZ. She also leaves behind ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 6th from 6pm to 8pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Graveside services will follow on Friday, June 7th at 10:00am at the Church of Christ Cemetery in Eagle Lake.
