Bartow- Martha Watts Middleton, 97, passed away Monday, February 8, 2016 at Savannah Court in Bartow. Martha was born October 12, 1918 in Bartow, FL, She was a former clerk with Polk County Clerk of Circuit Court for several years and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Bartow. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Middleton. She is survived by son Michael "Mickey" Middleton & wife Alice of Apopka, FL and daughter Earlene Baggett & husband Larry of Jacksonville, FL Three sisters Alvena Newport, Ruby Atkins & husband Carl and Shirley Hickman all of Bartow, FL. Three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Sister-in-law Hattie Garcia of Bartow, FL and brother-in-law Charlie Middleton & wife Dorothy Ann of Tallahassee, FL. The Family will receive friends from 1 to 2 pm on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Whidden McLean Funeral Home. Graveside service will follow at 2:00 pm Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Wildwood cemetery in Bartow, FL.
