Martha Lowery

Fort Meade- Martha Lowery, age 79, of Fort Meade, died Monday, December 13, 2010, at her residence in Fort Meade. Born April 3, 1931 in Lumberton, NC, Mrs. Lowery has been a resident of Fort Meade for 3 years, formerly a longtime resident of Bartow. She was a sectionizer for Ben Hill Griffin Citrus, Bartow for many years. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. She attended the Bartow Senior Center and was an avid Bingo player. She was preceded in death by her husband: James H. Lowery & a daughter Brenda Franson. She is survived by two sons: Gaston Lowery & Al Lowery both of Bartow; three daughters: Jane White of Bartow; Vicky Carter of Fort Meade & Mary Sue Kemp of Bartow; 10 grandchildren & 10 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Wednesday, December 15, 2010, 10-11 am at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home Bartow. Services will follow at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment will be at Gandy Cemetery in Connersville.
