Martha Davies

Martha Sayre Bynum Davies, 86, died Sunday, April 18, 2010, in Tampa of respiratory failure. Born November 29, 1923 in Troy, AL to the late Zeno Thomas "Jake" Bynum & Frances Walker Bynum. Mrs. Davies was a resident of Bartow for over 50 yrs. moving from DeLand, FL. Mrs. Davies was a University of South Florida graduate and member of the D.A.R. She operated "Martha Davies Antique Roses" nursery with her husband for many years. She is preceded in death by an infant son Robert R. Davies & husband Richard S. Davies. She is survived by two sons: David & wife Muriel Davies of Tampa; Allan & wife Tina Davies of Ponce Inlet, FL; daughter: Elizabeth & husband Fred Bondzeit of Reliance, TN.; sister: Helen Bynum Gienau of Bartow; 7 grandchildren & 11 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday, April 23, 2010 at 11:00 am at the Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church, 205 East Stanford St. Bartow. Family will receive friends following the service.
