Marlene Mcdaniel Lewis

Marlene McDaniel Lewis, age 63, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2016 in Plant City. Born July 28, 1952 in Bartow, she was the daughter of the late Eunice and Faye (Hayes) McDaniel and stepdaughter to Bill Padgett of Winter Haven.. Marlene retired after many years of service with the Polk County Clerk of the Courts, where she was a Trial Clerk. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sherri Young and siblings C. Ray McDaniel and Myra McDaniel Horninger. She is survived by a loving family that includes her husband of 21 years, David M. Lewis of Plant City, her children; Terri Huffling (Aaron) of Mulberry, Kerri Adams (Bobby) of Lakeland, Josh Teigland (Alicia) of Riverton, WY, and her step daughter, Crystal Lewis of Lakeland, Marlene also leaves behind her siblings; Larry McDaniel (Mary) of Columbia, SC, Leon McDaniel of Lakeland, Marilyn McDaniel Capps (Glenn) of Polk City, her grandchildren; Jordan Adams, Brandon Huffling, Bailey Huffling, Mackenzie Adams, Brandon Adams and Heather Sylvain, along with her niece/daughter, Kim Bembry of Bartow. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 1st from 5pm to 6pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. A celebration of her life will commence at 6:00pm at the funeral home chapel.
