Marlene Gibson

Bartow- Marlene Gibson, age 85, passed away Thursday, May 27, 2021 in Bartow. Mrs. Gibson was born on November 7, 1935 in Bartow and remained a lifelong resident. She was the daughter of the late James F. and Eunice Vivian (Weeks) Cochran. Marlene was a homemaker and a longtime member of the First Christian Church of Bartow. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Sonny Gibson, her daughter: Vivian L. "Vicki" Gibson and her sister Joy Harrison and husband James all of Bartow along with many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 3rd from 10am to 11am at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Christian Church of Bartow of a charity of one's choice.
