Auburndale- Marilyn Perez, 53, died Saturday, February 21, 2009, at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale of respiratory failure. Born November 9, 1955 in Portsmouth, VA, Mrs. Perez was a resident of Auburndale for 6 years, moving from Winter Haven. She is preceded in death by her mother, Nell Rhoden. She is survived by her husband: Eustacio Perez; daughter: Maria Lopez & son Eustacio Perez II all of Auburndale; a daughter: Rebecca Rogers of Bushnell; son: Johnny Ruiz of Bristol, FL; father: Arthur Rhoden of Bartow; sister: Cheri Penny of Temple Terrace; 8 grandchildren. Family will receive friends Wednesday, February 25, 6-8 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Interment will be at Oak Hill Burial Park in Lakeland.
