Marie Rowell

Marie Rowell, 83, of Fort Meade, Florida passed away on September 3, 2023, at her residence. She was born July 7, 1940, in Laurel Hill, Florida and was a lifelong resident of Fort Meade, graduating from Fort Meade High School in 1959. Marie worked for Brewington’s and SunTrust Bank for over 26 years. She was a member of the Fort Meade Worship Center. Marie enjoyed watching football and NASCAR racing, but most of all, spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband Rouie Rowell, parents Willie and Jesse Carnley, brothers John Carnley and Lewis Carnley, sisters Agnes Cook and Helen Woods. She is survived by her two children Dennis Rowell (Debbie) and Tina Lanier (Steve) both of Fort Meade, sisters Doris Reynolds (Hubert) of Fort Meade and Velma Lineback of Tallahassee, Florida. Grandchildren Daniel Lanier (Randi), Stephanie Laurent (George), Felicia Carrier (Brett), Tabitha Kramer (Michael), and Brianna Rowell. Her five great grandchildren, Paisley, Reese, Emma, Julia and Levi. Family will receive friends Wednesday, September 6, 2023, from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Fort Meade, Fort Meade. Memorial service will be held Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at 11:00 AM at First Baptist Church of Fort Meade.
