Marian Pauline Walker, 94, passed away Monday, March 10, 2014. She was born April 28, 1919 in Bradley, FL & was a lifetime resident of rural southwestern Polk County. She was a homemaker and a member of the Welcome Primitive Baptist Church. She was the great great granddaughter of James W. Whidden, one of the Founding Pioneers of Polk County. She was preceded in death by her husband Hubert Walker; parents John W. & Mittie Collins; brothers & sisters Vivian Collins, Wilson Collins, Lillian Saunders, Mary Edith Chewning and Laurice Collins. She is survived by her son Larry Walker (Deborah).Two grandsons Chip Walker (Cindy) and Scott Walker (Heather), 4 great grandchildren Michaella, Destiny, Austin & Addison. Beloved nephew Robert Lancaster & wife Roberta and their two children Vicci Jester (Ralph) and Robbie Lancaster (Rachel). One sister LeClaire Notartomoso. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 pm, Thursday, March 13, 2014 at McLean Funeral Home 306 East Broadway in Fort Meade, FL. Funeral service will be at McLean Funeral Home at 10:00 AM, Friday, March 14, 2014 Pastor Steve McGaughey officiating. Burial will be at Old Elim Cemetery, Fort Meade, FL.
