Maria D. "Mary" Gonzalez, age 66, passed away Thursday, August 26, 2021 in Bartow. Ms. Gonzalez was born on September 9, 1954 in Brownsville, TX. She was a homemaker. Mary is survived by a loving family that includes her children: Linda Huff (Jeremy) of Hartselle, AL, Susie Ornelas (Billy) of Bartow, Eugene Ornelas, Jr. also of Bartow, her mother, Lazara Chavez, brothers: Ricardo Gonzalez, Johnny Chavez, sister Elena Escamilla (Abram) all of Ohio and sister Janie Martinez (Mike) of Bartow. She also leaves behind her companion, Ronald Sparks of Bartow, eight grandchildren (Michelle, Nick, Olivia, Austin, Blake, Katelyn, Zoey and Noah) and one great grandchild (Amelia). The family will receive friends on Sunday August 29th from 4pm to 6pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow.
