Margaret S. Mcclintock

Mrs. Margaret S. McClintock passed away Monday, August 6, 2007 at Bartow Regional Medical Center. She was 94. Born May 21, 1913 in Lane, South Dakota, she was a longtime Bartow resident. Mrs. McClintock was the founder of the Polk County Engineers' Wives Club in 1955. She also was a volunteer for the Bartow Chamber of Commerce and was a poll worker for many years. Mrs. McClintock was a homemaker and a member of McLeod Memorial Presbyterian Church. She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter O. McClintock, and is survived by her daughter, Marlene M. Morris of Bartow, a brother Albert Schaefer of Seattle, Washington, and a sister Myrtle S. Nord of Tucson, AZ, two grandchildren; Jenni Sauer of Richmond, VA, John H. Morris, III of Winston Salem, NC and four great grandchildren; Michael Sauer, Kristin Sauer, Patrick Sauer and Olivia Miller. She is also survived by her niece Lisa Schaefer of Hilton Head, SC and Rev. Eric Schaefer of Pacific Palisades, CA. Visitation for Mrs. McClintock will be Thursday, August 9, 2007 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at McLeod Memorial Presbyterian Church 695 West Stuart Street, Bartow.
