Marcia Herring Helms, 77, passed away Thursday, September 2, 2021. She was born January 5, 1944 in Fort Meade, FL to Owen & Ernestine Herring, She was a Dispatcher for the State of Florida Forestry Services. She was Baptist. She was preceded in death by her husband Jimmie Helms. She is survived by her son Kevin Helms & wife Heather of Holly Springs, NC, son Tim Helms of Tampa, daughter Heidi Kangas of Bartow, granddaughter Dovie Kangas, grandson Ethan Helms, sister Mary "Lynn" Herring of Colorado Springs, CO and half brother Dennis Herring & wife Patty of Alachua. Family will receive friends 10 to 11 am Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Whidden McLean Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am Wednesday at Whidden McLean Funeral Home in Bartow.
