Manuel Ramon Herrera, Jr.

Manuel Ramon Herrera, Jr., age 84, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022, in Lakeland. Born February 28, 1938 in Poteet, TX, he was the son of the late Manuel Ramon Herrera, Sr., and Elvira (Balderas) Herrera. Mr. Herrera was a minister and the owner and operator of a food distribution company. He is survived by a loving family that includes his wife of 45 years, Margaret Herrera of Lakeland, his children: Manuel R. Herrera, III., (Daphne) of Wauchula, Tian Gainous (Josh) of Lakeland, Renell J. Austin (Thomas) of Lexington, TN, Felipe M. Herrera (Daisy) of Frostproof, Benjamin J. Herrera of Wauchula, Nora Herrera of CA, Oscar Herrera of Fort Meade, Ruth Garza (Manuel) of Fort Meade, Priscilla Morales (Michael) of CA, Jeremias Herrera (Leticia) of CA, Lydia Dahl (Guy) of MT, Tavita Garcia (Jesse) of CA and Lea Herrera of CA. He also leaves behind his siblings: Elias Herrera, Moses Herrera, John Herrera, Daniel Herrera, Elizabeth Juarez, Naomi Herrera, Mary Balderas along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 11th from 2 pm to 3 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm at the funeral home.
