Malcolm Nelson Hamner

Malcolm Nelson Hamner, age 94, passed away from natural causes Thursday, April 3, 2014 in Lakeland. Born June 5, 1919 in Killen, AL, he was the son of the late James C. and Roselee Hamner. Mr. Hamner was an Army Veteran of WWII. He worked for many years as a service station attendant for several different stations around Bartow. Mr. Hamner was a member of the First Christian Church of Bartow. He is survived by his wife, of 65 years, Betty June (Sumner) Hamner of Bartow, and many friends and extended family. The family will receive friends Monday, April 7, 2014 from 10AM to 11AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 11:00AM at the funeral home chapel.
