Lakeland - Magellan Howard, age 79, passed away September 21, 2023, at Lakeland Regional Health and Medical Center. He was born May 27, 1944, in Salyersville, KY. He was a Truck Driver for Trans Phos Inc. He enjoyed watching auto racing, drag racing and auto auctions. He was preceded in death by his stepdaughter Brenda. He is survived by a loving family that includes his wife Thelma Howard, daughter Ressie Gullett (Dan), stepchildren Michael Teate (Stacey), Angela Hartzell ( William),Linda Brown (Mack), Anna Whitt & Hilda Phipps (Delbert), grandchildren Gabriel Powers, Mikayla Register, James Hartzell, Aric Hartzell, Kensie Matthews (John) & Michael John Teate, great grandchildren Dawson Register, Boon Register & Wade Matthews and sisters Susan Howard, Sue Ellen Howard & Loretta Howard. The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 27, 2023, from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home. The interment will be held at Wildwood Cemetery, Bartow.
