Madelyn Sue Jones

Winter Haven- Madelyn Sue Jones, 58, died Saturday, July 4, 2009, at Winter Haven Hospital of heart failure. Born September 26, 1950 in Oil City, PA to Jack & Mildred Olinger, Ms. Jones has been a longtime resident of Polk County. She was a telephone operator for GTE for over twenty years. She is preceded in death by her husband: Harry Jones, proprietor of the Anchor Bar in Winter Haven for many years. She is survived by five brothers: Gilbert T. Olinger & Jack M. Olinger, Jr. both of Bartow; George "Burt" Olinger of Ruskin; Warren E. Olinger of Brandon; Marshall R. Olinger of Lakeland, two sisters: Marrilee Louise Carter of Winter Haven & Joy Gifford Stata of Bristol, Va. A celebration of her life will be held Sunday, July 12, 2009 at 3 pm at the Winter Haven Fellowship, 401 Lake Howard Drive, Winter Haven.
