Louis D. Doyle

Louis D. Doyle, age 93, passed away Monday, June 5, 2017 in Bartow. Born February 13, 1924 in De Witt, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Jack and Irene (Roark) Doyle. Mr. Doyle was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in World War II. Louis was a member of the 101st Airborne earning five bronze stars. Mr. Doyle went on to work for and retire from D.M. Weatherly Company out of Atlanta, GA, where he served as a Construction Superintendent for many years. Louis is survived by a loving family that includes his wife, of 40 years, Brenda Doyle of Bartow, his son Tim Wendell (Marjorie) of Winter Haven, his siblings: Ermajune Thomas of Vilonia, AR, Leon Doyle of Turtletown, TN, Lynn Doyle of Memphis, TN, and Larry Doyle of Centerville, AR. He also leaves behind his two granddaughters: Deann Miranda, Emily Collins and five great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday, June 9, 2017 from 10am to 11am at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00am at the funeral home chapel.
