Lola R. Purvis

Lola Jane Robinson Purvis , 70, of Bartow, Florida, passed away December 23, 2015 at her home. She was born December 10, 1945, in Lenox, Ga to Arlie Snyder and Julia Collier Robinson. Mrs. Purvis was a member of the Bartow First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arlie Snyder and Julia Robinson, a sister, Sallie Robinson Napoli, and a brother, James D. Robinson. Mrs Purvis is survived by her husband of 51 years, Emmett E. Purvis, Sr, and her children: Scott (Gail) Podolski of York, Pa, Becky (William) Cook of Ocilla, Ga., Katheryn Hodges of Lakeland and Gene Purvis of Lakeland, a brother, John (Josie) Robinson of Tarpon Springs, three sisters, Alice Crawford and Bessie (David) Foster, both of Lakeland and Shirley Weathers of Bartow, and her grandchildren Kim (Cam) Durcho, Jake Cook, Jessica Cook, Steven Johnston, Douglas Johnston, Mark Johnston, and Emma Purvis and a host of nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Saturday December 26, 2015, 10:00-11:00 A.M. at First Baptist Church, 410 E. Church St, Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 A.M. at the Church..
