Lola Eastman Harleman, 77, a former resident of Lakeland died Saturday, March 26, 2011, in Baton Rouge, LA. of complications of Alzheimer's disease. Born April 16, 1933 in Madison, FL, Mrs. Harleman was a resident of Baton Rouge 2 yrs, moving from Lakeland. A graduate of Florida Southern College, and received her Master's Degree at the University of Georgia Mrs. Harleman was an educator in the public school system for over 30 years. She was a US Navy Veteran. She is preceded in death by her father: James H. Eastman. She is survived by her husband: Ted R. Harleman of Baton Rouge; her mother Georgia P. Eastman of Bartow; 3 sisters: Blanche Bryant & husband, Sam, of Homeland, FL; Georgia Ann Eastman of Baton Rouge & husband, Dr. John Stuart; and Cindi Beahm of Lakeland. The family will receive friends Thursday, March 31, 2011, 1:00-2:00 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 E. Main Street, Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm at the funeral home.
