Lois Thielen

Mrs. Lois Thielen, 89, of Bartow, died Saturday, March 20, 2010, at Rohr Nursing Home in Bartow. Born February 5, 1921 in Hacoda, Alabama, Mrs. Thielen has been a resident of Bartow over 60 yrs, moving from Alabama. She was a homemaker and a member of the Blessed Assurance Temple in Bartow. She was preceded in death by her husband: Leroy Thielen. She is survived by her son: Bobby & wife Billy Jane Hood of Covington, Ga; three daughters: Sheila & husband Jerry Furlong of Bartow; Linda Mitchell of Bartow; Margaret & husband Thomas Tucker of Locust, N.C; three brothers: Marlin Adkison & Emmitt Adkison both of Bartow; Hollan & wife Evelyn Adkison of Dothan, Ala. two sisters: Annette & husband Richard Griffin of Bartow; Patricia & husband Don Allen of Medart, FL; 7 grandchildren & 8 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Wednesday 1-2 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 pm. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow.
