Lois G. Jackson

Sarasota - Lois G. Jackson, 95, passed away Sunday, August 15, 2021 at her home in Sarasota. Born July 28, 1926 in Chicago, IL, Lois was a longtime resident of Bartow before moving to Sarasota with her husband Harold E. Jackson. Lois was a graduate of Harding University in Searcy, Arkansas and completed her Masters degree at the University of South Florida. She was an educator at Bartow Senior High School for many years where she taught English, Speech, and Art . She was a founding member of the Bartow Art Guild, member of the North Jackson Avenue Church of Christ in Bartow, and then South Trail Church of Christ in Sarasota. She is preceded in death by Harold, her husband of 67 years and son Scott Jackson. Lois is survived by her son Gary E. Jackson and wife Susan of Sarasota, her daughter Deborah Lemke of Moore, SC, her daughter-in-law Faye Jackson of Alachua, FL, 6 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Interment will be at Sarasota National Cemetery beside her husband.
