Lloyd P. Peacock, 74, died Friday, January 28, 2011 of cancer at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale. Born May 12, 1936 in Baker FL, Mr. Peacock was a lifelong resident of Bartow. He served with the Polk County Sheriff's Department; the Property Appraisers Office & the Supervisor of Elections Office. Mr. Peacock also operated Landscape Creations in Brandenton for several years. He was a US Air Force Veteran. He was a past member of the Bartow Jaycees & the Bartow Volunteer Fire Department; and participated in cancer research. He was a member of the Polk County Sports Car Club. He was a past member of the Kirkwood Presbyterian Church of Bradenton. He is survived by his wife: Ruth M. Peacock of Bartow; 2 daughters Lori Peacock of Bradenton & Leigh Morris & husband David of Alpharetta, GA; grandchildren: Chase Stevens, Cameron Stevens, Caitlyn Stevens, Grace Ingram, Micah Ingram & Caleb Willis. Wife's three children: Mark Naberhaus & wife Angela; Chris Slick & husband Larry; Missy Martin & husband Ricky, all of Bartow. grandchildren: Jacob Slick, R.J. Martin, Jarrod Naberhaus, Matthew Martin & Logan Slick. 2 brothers: Mark Peacock & wife Lois and Marvin Peacock both of Bartow.
