Linda "Ruthie Smith" Hall, 68, of Lakeland, FL passed away Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012. She was born Nov. 21, 1943 in Fort Meade, FL. Linda was a nurse. She was preceded in death by her parents Mabry & Ophelia Smith. She is survived by her husband; Donald Hall of Lakeland, FL.Two Daughters: Rhonda Merritt of Lebanon, IN and Wendy Wert of Lakeland, FL. Son: Ronald D Merritt, Jr. of Lakeland, FL. Two Step Daughter: Dawn Croft of Willow Oak, FL and Marilyn Nation of Lake Wales, FL. Three sisters: Jeannie Smith of Cape Coral, FL, Sue Bookout of Port Charlotte, FL and Joanne Walker of Redwood Falls, MN.. Grandchildren: Deborah Humphrey, Daniel Humphrey, Rhyan-James Wert, Kamron Merritt, Gage Merritt, Christina Croft, Bruce Simon and Samantha Simon. Great Grandchildren: Sebastian Simon and Caleb Nation. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Wednesday, February 15, 2012. Funeral service will be at McLean Funeral Home at 1:00 PM, Thursday, February 16, 2012. Burial at New Hope Cemetery in Fort Meade. Contributions can be made to Good Shepherd Hospice.
