Linda C. Adkison

Linda C. Adkison, 64, of Bartow, died Wednesday, January 14, 2009, at Bartow Regional Medical Center of respiratory failure. Born November 1, 1944 in Tulsa, OK, Mrs. Adkison has been a resident of Bartow for over 45 years. She was a accounting clerk for the Bartow Memorial Hospital for several years. She was of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by her daughter Barbara "Jeannie" Freeman. She is survived by husband: Emmitt E. Adkison of Bartow; daughter: Lynette Howard of Polk City; son: Richard Freeman of Bartow; step daughters: Cathy Blair of Bartow; Janice Cruz of Bartow; & Renee Adkison of Lakeland; brother: John Funderburk of Phoenix, AZ; 12 grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren. Family wil receive friends Sunday, January 18, 2-4 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 19, at 10:00 am at the funeral home.
