Mrs. Lillie Alene Wheeler a Homemaker, age 87, of Highland City, FL, died Thursday, October 30, 2008, at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale, FL. Mrs. Wheeler was born November 29, 1920 in Ty Ty, GA. She has lived in this area most of her life, she was a Baptist. She is survived by her three Daughters, Shirley Southerland of Bartow, FL, Brenda Waters of Lakeland, FL, and Betty Woodard of Highland City, FL.; three Sons, Kenneth Byrd of Bartow, FL, Billy Byrd of Fort Meade, FL, and Benny Byrd of Alturas, FL;. one Sister, Loraine Willis of Ocala, FL. Four Brothers, Henry Tucker of Bartow, FL, Alton Tucker of Mulberry, FL, Leon Tucker of Bartow, FL, and Ray Tucker of Fort Meade, FL.; 15 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren. Arrangements are being handled by Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 East Main Street, Bartow, FL, where the family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM Sunday, November 2, 2008. Funeral service will be at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home at 11:00 AM Monday, November 3, 2008 . Interment will be at Homeland Cemetery in Homeland, FL.
