Lillie Mae Mitson

Lillie Mae Mitson, 95, passed away Monday, August 29, 2016. She was born September 16, 1920 in Homer, GA, She was a Homemaker and an avid gardener. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Truman Thompson, Sr. and Chester Mitson: three sons, Ronnie Thompson, Donnie Thompson and Rodney Thompson, Sr.: daughter, Shirley Thompson Sowell. Lillie Mae is survived by son, Derwood Thompson (Nancy) of Gainesville, FL: son, William "Bill" Thompson of Costa Rica: daughter, Ruth Spinks (Allen) of Lakeland: son, Truman Thompson, Jr. (Nancy) of Fernandina Beach: son, John M Thompson, Sr. (Donna) of Ellaville, GA: daughter, Kathy Berry (John) of Bartow: daughter, Betty Vickers (Jimmy) of Winter Haven: sister Susie Dyal of Auburndale and numerous grandchildren. Family will receive friends Thursday, September 1, 2016 from 12 to 1 pm at Turning Point Worship Center,1410 E Georgia St. in Bartow, FL. Celebration of Her Life will follow at 1:00 pm at Turning Point Worship Center. Graveside service 1:00 pm Friday, September 2, 2016 at Zion Hope Cemetery in Tifton, GA.
