Lillie Cartwright

Bartow- Lillie Mae Hardy Cartwright, 88, died Monday, March 31, 2008, at her residence of heart failure. Born December 11, 1919 in Lagrange, GA, Mrs Cartwright has been a resident of Bartow since 1954, moving from Winter Haven. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She was preceded in death by her daughter: Glenda Sue Cartwright. She is survived by her husband of 70 years: Vernon C. Cartwright; son: Donald Cartwright of Bartow; 3 daughters: Barbara Cartwright ; Nina Curtis and Verna Lewis, all of Bartow. 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Wednesday, April 2, 6-8 pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 E. Main St, Bartow. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 3, at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Bartow Wildwood Cemetery.
