Lewis Kelly Gassett

Lewis Kelly Gassett, born April 23 1953, in Blackstone, Virginia to Clifton and Faye Hawkins Gassett. He passed away on February 22, 2020. Kelly grew up in Homeland and spent most of his adult life in Lakeland, he most recently resided in Lakeland Manor and Palm Terrace. Kelly worked as a welder in the phosphate industry in his younger days. Kelly was preceded in death by his parents and his son Lewis Kelly Jr. He is survived by his soulmate Judy Bush of Lakeland and a brother and a sister in law, Eddy and Melissa Gassett and another brother David Gassett and a sister Patricia Gassett all of Homeland , two daughters Kelly Michelle Martinez and April Rose Gassett, both of Fort Meade, and a step son Tony Butler of Wauchula and several grandkids, nephews and a niece. Family will receive friends Thursday, February 27, 2020, from 6-8 P.M. at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow.
