Lessie Lois Vogler, age 96, was born to Andrew & Hattie Evans on July 20, 1930, in Eastman, Georgia and went home to be with the Lord on August 15, 2026, in Lakeland, FL.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bill F. Vogler; her daughter, Deborah Harris; and her four brothers; Maxo Evans, Robert Evans, Wilma Sanders, and Kenneth Evans.

Lois is survived by her daughter, Brenda Vogler of Lakeland; her son-in-law, Michael Harris of Fort Pierce; her grandson, Jason Kerby of Kokomo, Indiana; her granddaughters, Jenna Stanley of Bartow, Devin Hall of Lakeland, and Melysse Hall of Lakeland; and her great-grandchildren, Bailey Stanley, Presley Hodges, and Warner Hodges.

Lois was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose family was truly at the center of her world. Lois and her beloved husband, Billy, raised their children in McLeod Memorial Presbyterian Church in Bartow. The values of faith and family remained an important part of the life they built together. She was a strong-willed, independent woman with a big personality and even bigger love for her family. There was nothing she treasured more than the time she spent with the ones she loved dearest. She was a homemaker for much of her life, dedicating herself to caring for those she loved and also serving as a Girl Scout leader. She enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves baseball, coloring, fishing, and a great cup of coffee.

As her family and friends grieve her passing, they can also smile while remembering everything that made Lois unmistakably Lois—always being glamorous, a compliment ready for whoever crossed her path, her great advice, her fishing trips, her strong will, and above all, the tremendous love she had for her family. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of her family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. The funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be held at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow.
