Les Waters

Mr. Les Waters, age 54, passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2008 in Lakeland. Born March 19, 1954 in Lakeland, Les was the son of the late Aren "Dude" and Cassie (Farnell) Waters. Mr. Waters worked as a maintenance mechanic for Mosaic for many years. Les attended First Baptist Church of Imperial Lakes. Along with both his parents, Les is preceded in death by his sister Becky Nieb. He is survived by a loving family that includes his wife Becky Waters, his son, Joe Waters (Teri), his daughter, Kelly Sheffield (David) all of Lakeland, three brothers; Kenneth A. Waters (Yvonne) of Woodville, GA, Bob Waters (Judith) of Mulberry, Dennis Waters (Brenda) of Lakeland, and three sisters; C. Annette Lee of Lithia, Barbara Richarz of Keysville, and Susie Allums (Bill) of Mulberry. He also leaves behind three grandchildren; Bradley Sheffield, Sydney Sheffield, and Cassie Jo Waters. Arrangements are being handles by Whidden-McLean Funeral Home 650 East Main Street in Bartow where family will receive friends Monday March 31, 2008 from 6 PM to 8 PM. Services will follow Tuesday April 1, 2008 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Imperial Lakes 1905 Shepherd Rd. in Lakeland.
