Leroy Baker

Bartow - Starlon "Leroy" Baker, 78, passed away June 6, 2016. Mr. Baker was born October 9, 1937 in Bartow, FL, Leroy served in the Army Reserves. He was a Carpenter and Foreman for Mosaic for 53 years. He was a member of the Bartow Church of God. He was preceded in death by his parents Julius & Annabelle Baker, sister Shirley Campbell and son in law Bruce Horn. Leroy is survived by his wife of 58 years Mae Florence Baker of Bartow. Daughter Penny Horn of Bartow. Three sons Tim Baker & wife Michelle of Fort Meade, Glen Baker & wife Dania, Bartow and Kenneth Baker & wife Diana, Mulberry. Sister Janice Jones & husband Larry of Bartow and brother in law Newell Campbell of Lake Buffum. Sixteen grandchildren and Twenty-two great grandchildren. Family will receive friends Wednesday, June 8, 2016 from 6 to 8 pm at Whidden McLean funeral home. Funeral service will be held Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 11:00 am at Bartow Church of God with Rev. Elwood Kern officiating. Burial will be held at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow, FL.
