Leonard Earl Northup, Sr.

Leonard Earl Northup, Sr. of Fort Meade was born Jan. 9, 1921 in Old Hickory, TN, died Tuesday, March 13, 2007 from cancer, at his Residence. Mr. Northup was a lifelong resident of Fort Meade where he was a Rancher, Farmer and Citrus Grower. He was an active member of Mount Pisgah Baptist Church where he was a deacon, Sunday School Teacher and Song leader. He Served in the Air Force during World War II as a Bomber Pilot and Flight Officer. He is also survived by his wife of 59 years Fern Northup of Fort Meade. Daughter-Linda Smith of Fort Meade Two Sons, Perry Northup of Fort Meade, Leonard Earl Northup, Jr. of Coleman, FL Three Sisters, Violet Bass and Pansey Shepard of Bartow, Ettie Parker of Orlando. Brother, James Northup of Bartow. 5 Grandchildren, Eric Northup of Coleman, FL; Amber Smith Bourn, Travis Smith, Chad Smith, and Macy Northup all of Fort Meade. Seven great-grandchildren Arrangements are being handled by McLean Funeral Home, 306 East Broadway, Fort Meade, FL. The Family will recieve friends Thursday from 6 to 8 pm at McLean Funeral Home. Service will be Friday at 11:00 am at Mt Pisgah Baptist Church, 6210 Mt Pisgah Road in Fort Meade.
