Leonard "Charby" Allen Charboneau

Leonard A. (Charby) Charboneau 78, of Alturas, Fl. Passed peacefully, into the arms of Jesus, the morning of Sept. 6, 2017 at Lakeland Regional Hospital. “Charby” was born in Cheboygan, Michigan November 13, 1938. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rose Mae Jarvis and Arthur Charboneau, and also by his son Leonard Jr. “Charby” is survived by his wife and “the love of his life” for the last 32 years, Syble Williams Charboneau of Alturas Fl. Daughters, Robin Fortino of South Lyon, Michigan, and Debbie Frazier (Rick) of Bartow, Fl. Mr. Charboneau loved and enjoyed his 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. “Charby” proudly served in the U.S. Army, with distinction. Mr. Charboneau moved to Florida in 1980. He was employed by Trans-Phos Inc. of Mulberry , Fl. as a truck driver for 26 years. “Charby” was accident free for all of his 26 years, and earned a 2 Million Mile Safe Driver award. He will be interred with the military honors due him, at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fl. Service will be held on his birthday, November 13, 2017.
