Leon Laumar Hampton

Altamonte Springs - Leon Laumar Hampton, age 65, passed away on Monday, August 30, 2021 in Altamonte Springs. Mr. Hampton was born on January 13, 1957 in hillsborough County, FL. He dedicated over 30 years to serving the Florida Survey and Mapping Society as a Professional Surveyor and Mapper, FSMS President and directly contributed to the development of Central Florida. Leon is survived by his children, Brad Hampton (wife Jill), Lyncie Kruchten (husband Duane), Dana Mahr (husband Franz); his siblings, Brenda Williams (husband Reuben), Jeannie Fuqua, Billy Moore; his grandchildren, Duane Jr., Kaylee, Paige, Antonio, Dylan, Ethan, Emmalyn, Everlee, Elliettte and his beloved grand dog, Chase. Mr. Hampton enjoyed traveling the world with his wife of 35 years, Vanan Hampton, southern cooking and avid supporter of Florida sports teams, except FSU. In his honor, a memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 4:00pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow.
