Leon J. LaClair

Bartow - Leon J. LaClair, age 86, passed away on October 19, 2025, at Hawthorne Inn in Lakeland. He was born on February 1, 1939, in Ellenburg, NY. After high school he joined the United States Air Force, where he was an Aircraft Jet Engine Mechanic. He then returned to Sodus, NY and worked at Xerox Corp in Webster, NY for 30 years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and former Deputy Grand Knight Treasurer. He enjoyed gardening, being involved at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents Irving F. LaClair and Victoria P. LaClair, sisters Buelah Vincent, Margarie Mannering, Marie Ellis & Linda LaClair and brothers Francis, Bob, Steve & Louis LaClair. He is survived by his wife LaQuitta "Kay" LaClair, children Vicky Collier, Bryan LaClair, Lisa Brooks (Bob) & David LaClair (Heather), grandchildren Chrysten Buttiglieri (Laura), Stephenie Hartnagel, Vanessa Triou ( Jesse), Jenna Monserrat (Angel), Chad Collier ( Chelsea), Bobby Brooks, Emily LaClair & Natalie LaClair, 14 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter expected to be born in November and brother Earl LaClair ( Paula). Family will receive friends Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow.
