Leola L. Horn

Highland City- Leola L. Horn, 79, of Highland City, died Friday, Sept 14, 2007, at Lakeland Regional Medical Center of Respiratory Failure. A native of Homeland, FL, Mrs. Horn was a resident of Highland City since 1968, moving from Fort Meade. She attended the Word of Life Ministries in Highland City. She was preceded in death by her husband Lawrence "Shorty" Horn. She is survived by two sons: Ronald Horn of Highland City & Johnny Horn of Fort Meade; daughter: Cheryl Young of Lakeland; 2 brothers: J.B. Rivers of La Belle & Robert Rivers of Naples; 2 sisters Edrice Poole of Naples & Frances Townsend of Alice Springs, Australia; 10 grandchildren & 15 Great Grandchildren. Family will receive friends Tues, Sept 18, 6-8 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, 650 E. Main St, Bartow. Funeral services will be held Wed at 10 AM at the funeral home.
