Leeonious Collins

Leeonious "L.C." Collins 75 of Bartow went home to be with the Lord on March 19, 2010 from complications of pneumonia. Born in Moultrie, GA. he moved to Bartow from Charlotte, NC in 1976. He was a wrecker operator before becoming a Diesel Mechanic for Phillips & Jordan Land Construction Co. in Bartow. L.C. was of the Pentecostal Faith and enjoyed camping and the outdoors. A loving husband, father and grandfather he will be missed. He is survived by his wife of 33 years Stella M.Collins of Bartow; two sons Leeonious C. Collins Jr. with wife Lori of Brandon and F. James Collins with wife Donna of Bonniiville, KY; three brothes Tom Collins of Mullberry, Jessie Collins of Dade City and Eddie Collins of Jacksonville; two sisters Elizabeth Warlick of Charlotte, NC and Linda G. Collins of Moultrie, GA. also numerous grandchildren. A visitation will be held Monday March 22. 2010 from 10-11am at the Whidden-McLean Funeral in Bartow with funeral services starting at 11am.
