Winter Haven- Lee Boston Gerstenberger, age 28, passed away December 6, 2021. He was born on December 12, 1992, in Stockbridge, Georgia to Paul Gerstenberger & Colleen Boston Gerstenberger, the second of their two children. Lee grew up in Valrico, Florida. He graduated from Joe E. Newsome High School in Lithia, Florida in 2011. Lee was a United States Army Veteran, and achieved the rank of Specialist. He had been a Boy Scout, which he loved, and was proud to have earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He served as his troop’s Senior Patrol Leader for 3 ½ years. He enjoyed helping people, anytime, regardless of his own situation; he always put other’s needs ahead of his own. Lee enjoyed working on cars and old trucks, and enjoyed four-wheeling in the desert when he lived in Texas. He always loved being outside, shooting sports, and boating & kayaking. He was an avid animal lover, and loved his pets and all animals. Lee was preceded in death by his aunt Tammy J. Boston, uncle Stephen B. Boston, and grandfathers Francis J. Boston & Erwin Gerstenberger. He is survived by a loving family that includes his ex-wife Lauren Gerstenberger, mother Colleen Boston Gerstenberger, father Paul Gerstenberger, brother Dale Gerstenberger, uncle Francis K. Boston (Deanna), aunt Julie Holzberger (Fredric), cousins Christopher Boston, Adam Boston & Nicholas Boston, grandmothers Yvonne C. Boston and Rosemarie Gerstenberger. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow, Florida. Funeral service will be held Thursday, December 16, 2021, at 10:00 AM at Saint Joseph's Catholic Church, Winter Haven.
