Le Roy R. Cherney

Mr. Le Roy R. Cherney, age 74, passed away from heart failure Monday, May 18, 2009. Born February 28, 1935 in Center Moriches, NY he was the son of the late Frank and Susan Cherney. Mr. Cherney was a former longtime resident of Saint Petersburg, FL. He was a retired Butler. Mr. Cherney is survived by his partner Richard S. Straight, his former wife Pat Cherney of Norfolk, VA, two daughters; Patricia Barton (Mark) of Virginia Beach, VA, Maria Cherney also of Virginia, and his son Roy Cherney (Jodi) of Patchogue, NY. He also leaves behind two brothers; William Cherney of Mckinleyville, CA, Matt Cherney of Fort Myers, sister Nancy Fuoco of Patchogue, NY and numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
