Lavonne S. Young

Lavonne S. Young, age 84, passed away Friday, December 13, 2019 in Auburndale. Born April 10, 1935 in Tampa, he was the son of the late Lemuel S. Young and Erma (Kennedy) Young. Mr. Young served in the Florida National Guard. He worked for many years as a Grove Manager for Lakeland Highlands Co-op. Lavonne is preceded in death by his wife, Retha Young in 2007. He is survived his sisters: Barbara Creech (Paul) of Lake Wales, Doris Foster (Herschel) of Lanett, AL, his brother, Ronnie Young of Adel, GA along with several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 17th from 1pm to 1:30pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services will follow 1:30pm at the funeral home chapel.
