Lavada S. Croom

Lavada S. Croom, age 93, passed away Friday, January 23, 2026. She was born August 26, 1932 in Arcadia, FL to George & Pauline Skinner, Lavada was the Chief Service Advisor for GTE, she also worked as a Bookkeeper for Willie May Jefferies Accounting and for Dr. Duke. Lavada was a longtime member of Peace Creek Baptist Curch. She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, brothers and husband J.D. Croom. Lavada is survived by her two daughters Linda "Darlene" Cardullo and Paula Waddell (Bruce), son Dennis Croom (Andrea) all of Bartow, FL, seven grandchildren three great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Saturday, January 31, 2026 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home.
