Laurie Anne Davis McCraney, 81, of Bartow, Passed away on March 9, 2018, She lived in Bartow with her family for 42 years, moved with her husband to a lovely apartment at the Estates at Carpenters in Lakeland in September 2013. Born in Ocala, Florida, September 9, 1936 to the late Martin "Buster" Davis and Laurie Hampton Davis. Always putting others before herself, she proudly worked as a Registered Nurse, a profession that spanned more than 60 years of dedication and caring. she would council and offer guidance to others sharing her knowledge during this time. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years, William Patrick "Bill" McCraney, her parents, brother, Martin Butch Davis of Ocala and sister, Patricia Davis Lennon of Plymouth, MN. and is survived by he son, David Patrick McCraney and his wife Kimberly Mackenzie McCraney of Terra Verde, Florida, daughter, Donna Paige McCraney of Bartow Florida, grandchildren, Drew Catherine Hines of New Jersey, William Tucker Morris of Bartow, Florida, Devin Beverly McCraney of Tampa, Florida and great-grandsons, Aiden and Roman Morris of Bartow, Florida and many extended family members and friends. A gathering of family and friends will take place on March 13, 2018 from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm, with a memorial service following at 6:30 pm at Whidden-Mclean Funeral Home.
