Laura Godfrey Garner

Laura Godfrey Garner 84 of Bartow passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2013 at her residence from cancer. A native of St. Petersburg, FL she moved to Bartow in 2007. She was a homemaker and a Avon Manager for thirteen years with two hundred and fifty Avon Representatives under her direction at the height of her success. Laura loved her family and enjoyed writing poetry and will be dearly missed. She was preceded in death by her husband John H. Garner, two sisters Olive and Wallace King and Catherine and Gerald Adams. Three brothers Rev. Robert Godfrey, Richard and Eleanor Godfrey and Col. Norman Godfrey and Mrs. Nita Godfrey. Laura is survived by daughter Janice and Robert Garner, granddaughter Constance Tiesler and great grandson Brayden. Grandson Staff Sgt. Donald Tiesler and great grandson Bradley. Grandson Wade Garner and great grandson Alex. Son Daniel and Paula Kirkland, granddaughter Brandy and Eric Russell, great-grandson Evan and granddaughter Renee Kirkland. Son Paul and Simmone Garner and family. Daughter Mildred and Warren Alexander and family. Numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held by the family.
