Larry Manuel Walden

Lakeland - Larry Manuel Walden, age 74, passed away August 20, 2021 at his residence in Lakeland, Florida. He was born on July 30, 1947, in Bartow, Florida. He was a longtime resident of Lakeland, FL. He worked as a General Foreman at TECO Polk-Power until his retirement in 2016. He was an avid Florida Gator Fan, who enjoyed golfing; playing darts and ,most of all, spending time with his family. He is survived by a loving family which includes his wife of 32 years, Joan L. Walden of Lakeland; son Shane (Jennifer) Walden of Warner Robins, GA; daughter Crystal (Michael) Windfeldt of Clearwater, MN; daughter Krista Futch of Opelika, AL; son-in-law Michael Elliott of Macon, GA; brothers Waylon Walden of Folkston, GA and Charlie (Debbie) Walden of Lake Wales, FL; sister-in-law Nan Walden of Avon Park, FL; 10 Grandchildren; 1 Great Granddaughter and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Dorothy and Tommy Walden; father David E. O’Neal; brothers Ricky Walden and Bo Walden; daughter Sherri L. Elliott; sister-in-law Tyka Walden. His family will receive Loved Ones on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, from 6PM-8PM (Memorial Service 7PM) at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home, Bartow, FL.
