Larry E. Braswell, Sr.

Larry E. Braswell, Sr. , age71, passed away Sunday, July 28, 2019 at his home in Bartow. Born on September 9, 1947 in Bartow, he was the son of the late Joseph H. and Frankie L. (Johnson) Braswell. Mr. Braswell worked for 35 years as a supervisor for Central Florida Truss in Bartow. Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Lucille P. Braswell and his brother, Gary Braswell. Larry is survived by a loving family that includes his children: Kimberley Barber (David) of Bartow, Larry Braswell, Jr. (Tonya) of Fort Meade, Casey Platt (Ricky) of Bartow, his step children: Jimmy Vass (Mandy) of Winter Haven, Michael McGathy and Stevie McGathy both of Boaz, AL and Billy Hancock of Bartow. He also leaves behind his siblings: Linda Fuqua of Sylva, NC and Joseph Braswell of Auburndale along with 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 2nd from 10am to 11am at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services will immediately follow at 11:00am at the funeral home chapel.
