Lane Bazemore

Julius Lane Bazemore, age 77, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016 in Lakeland. Born May 27, 1938 in Pearson, GA, he was the son of the late Julius Lane Bazemore, Sr. and Ollie Mae (Sears) Bazemore. Lane was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the First Baptist Church of Bartow. He worked from Smith Brothers Oil Company in Bartow, for over 30 years, where he was a Warehouse Manager. Mr. Bazemore is survived by a loving family that includes his wife, of 53 years, Shirley E. Bazemore of Bartow, his three children: Kim Kelly (Ronnie) of Bartow, J. Lane Bazemore, Jr. (Dawn) of Mulberry, and Jon "Brent" Bazemore (Heidi) of Winter Haven. He also leaves behind his sister Dorothy L. Renfroe of Bartow, five grandchildren and two great grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 26th from 6pm to 8pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services will follow on Wednesday, April 27th at 2:00pm at the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Wildwood Cemetery in Bartow.
