Lacey L. "Sonny" Mcclellan

Lacey L. "Sonny" McClellan, 78, of Treasure Island, FL, passed away Monday, October 6, 2014, at his residence. Lacey was born June 10, 1936 in Fort Meade, FL. He graduated from Fort Meade High School class of 1956 and served in the Air Force Reserve. Lacey attended Gupton-Jones Mortuary College in Texas and made his career as a licensed Funeral Director and Funeral Home Owner in Plant City, Fort Meade and surrounding areas. He was a member and past President of the Plant City Rotary Club and a longtime member of the Plant City Elks Club. Lacey was a member of St. Alban's Episcopal Church. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Sharon Kay Weeks McClellan. Two daughters; Sharon Renae’ Bussinah & husband Stephen of Dunedin, FL and Suzanne McClellan Ziemann & husband Donald of Alpharetta, GA. Grandson; Richard Shey Gourley, granddaughter; Summer Rae Gourley and great grandson; Sonny Dale Arthur Palmer. Three brothers; Robert "Bob" McClellan of Bowling Green, FL, Danny McClellan of Fort Meade, FL and Art McClellan of Ona, FL. Two sisters; Juanita Boone of Apollo Beach, FL & Anne White of Temple Terrace, FL. A Memorial service will be held at 3:30 pm Sunday, October 12, 2014 at St. Alban's Episcopal Church, 8451 Blind Pass Road in St Pete Beach, FL 33706.
