Kirby Thomas Mcbee

Mr. Kirby Thomas McBee, Sr., age 81, died Thursday, January 24, 2008 at Good Shepherd Hospice in Auburndale. Born on November 6, 1926 in Sewanee, Tennessee, Mr. McBee was a longtime Polk county resident. He formerly worked as a welder and mechanic for Agrico. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII and a baptist. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Joy L. McBee of Bartow, two sons; Kirby T. "K.T." McBee (Alice) of Bartow, Keith McBee (Henrietta) of Jupiter, two daughters; Karen Kizitaff of Sicklerville, NJ, and Carrie Schrage (Samuel) of Palm Harbor. He also leaves behind a sister, Julia A. Ellis of Birchwood, TN eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Graveside services for Mr. McBee will be Monday January 28, 2008 at 2:00 PM at Gandy Cemetery in Connersville.
