Keyon Torres

Keyon Torres 9 of Bartow passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013 from an accident at his home. A lifelong resident of Bartow he attended the Word of Life Christian School in Bartow where he just finished the 4th grade. He played Dixie Youth Minor League Baseball and also Bartow Yellow Jackets Youth Football. Keyon loved to play video games and was known for his great since of imagination. A loving young boy, who touched so many people's hearts with his great smile and loving spirit, he will be dearly missed. He is survived by his mother Belinda Torres (Preston "Pete" Thomas) of Bartow. Father David Manning Jr. (Shereth) of Bartow. Maternal grandparents Isidro "Pops" and Maria Irene Torres of Ft. Meade. Paternal grandparents David and Vivian Manning of Bartow. Sister Dasia "Deda" Torres of Bartow. Brothers Anfernee "Dewy" West of Bartow; Deante Manning and Malik Manning both of Bartow. Aunt Satoria Rowe (Cory) of Bartow. Uncles Isidro "Gar" Torres Jr. (Irma) of Avon Park; Oscar "Oca" Torres (Brooke) of Mulberry; Richard "Byrd" Torres (Rosalydia) of Ruskin; Terrell Manning and Lerod Manning (Ashia) both of Bartow. Cousins Tyler "Wedo" Torres, Richard Torres Jr., Devin Torres and Aiden Torres. Along with many family members and friends. A visitation will be held Monday, June 24th from 6-8pm at Whidden-McLean Funeral Home in Bartow. Funeral services will follow on Tuesday at 11am at the Highlands Church of Christ, 5730 Lakeland Highlands Rd. Lakeland, FL 33813. Burial at Evergreen Cemetery in Ft. Meade.
